Children's educational software

Hi, I wanted to share with everyone a great computer game that I bought my 5-year old son. It is the Jump Start World for 1st graders, software by Knowledge Adventure. My son just loves to play it. It offers great educational games, such as building math, reading and critical thinking skills, and also offers him ways to be an explorer, look after a virtal pet, and he has the opportunity to win awards for his achievements. The program has enabled him to start to learn to tell the time, something that I was having a problem trying to explain to him. The program is built on a series of units and parents receive emails, which enable you to purchase the next unit on-line. As I said my son just loves to play it.

Let me introduce myself

Hi, I am a stay at home mum who has two children, a boy (5) and girl (12). I am interested in connecting with other mum's to share ideas on what you find are great activities and crafts to motivate and stimulate your children, as well as maybe share solutions to everyday problems. It's always nice to be able to talk to other people and find out how they deal with problems.

I hope to create a blog whereby we can share some great ideas and suggest products that you have found to be useful so that we can learn from each other.
